As Kagome puts bandages on Inuyasha's wound (see episode 40), the group discusses Kagura's relation to Naraku (see episode 40). Naraku tells Kagura to depart for her sister already has. Meanwhile, a girl in white holding a mirror walks through the forest, surrounded by Saimiyosho. The next day, men are looking for a girl named Koharu who refused their masters advances. They find Sango, they decide to take her with them. Inuyasha soon appears and chases the men away. Koharu (who was hiding behind some weeds) comes out and thanks them. When the girl sees Miroku, she is overjoyed. Three years earlier, when Koharu was 11, Miroku came to her village. She worked hard for an oil merchant and rarely got any food. However, Miroku gave her some food and asked her to bear his child. Miroku then had to leave the village. Koharu further explains that recently the oil merchants son had taken a liking to her, but she refused his advances and ran away. Koharu tells Miroku that she is now ready to bear his child and that the hope that he would someday return is what has kept her going. Koharu wants to come with Miroku on his travels, but she can't because she'd be in too much danger. Miroku convinces the chief of a nearby village to let Koharu stay with them. As Miroku says his goodbye to Koharu, Inuyasha notes how tense Sango has been ever since Koharu has shown up (which Sango denies). After much ado, Miroku agrees to stay with Koharu for the night. That night, after Koharu tends to Miroku's bath she goes off to prepare dinner. On her way she runs into Kanna(the girl with the mirror). Later that night, while Inuyasha and the others are enjoying Koharu's dinner, they soon realize that they are surrounded by something other than demons. Inuyasha, Miroku and Kirara go out to investigate and end up fighting of hordes of villagers. Inside the house, Koharu tells Kagome, Sango and Shippo that the chief and his wife were attacked by a demon. The three go and investigate; Sango sees Kanna and throws Hiraikotsu at her. Due to a barrier that Kanna erected (via her mirror), Hiraikotsu is then thrown back at Sango knocking out (Shippo is also knocked out because Sango falls on him). Kanna then begins to steals Kagome's soul, as Koharu restrains Kagome. Outside, Inuyasha and Miroku continue to fight the villagers, being sure not to kill them. They soon discover that Kagura is controlling them. Kagura explains people without souls can be controlled just as easily as corpses (see episodes 39 and 40). She further explains that Kagome's soul should be absorbed by now. Inuyasha fends off Kagura's Wind Blades while Miroku checks on Kagome. In the castle, Miroku finds an unconscious Koharu. Koharu soon comes too and hugs Miroku, unknown to Miroku, Koharu is ready to stab him in the back!

Kanna (see episode 41) is forced to stop absorbing Kagome's soul because it's overflowing in the mirror. Kanna assumes that Kagome will be unable to move so she moves into take Kagome's Shikon shards. However, Kagome gets up and prepares to fire an arrow. Miroku manages to knock Koharu (see episode 41) out before she can stab him (see episode 41). As Miroku arrives on the scene, Kanna departs. Meanwhile, Inuyasha continues to dodge the Wind Blades from Kagura's fan (see episode 41). Kagura notices that he's still injured from his last battle (see episodes 39 and 40). Kagura performs her "Dance of the Dragon Blades" technique. Inuyasha sees the Wound of the Wind and strikes it. Kanna appears and Inuyasha's attack is reflected back at him. Miroku, Shippo and Kirara (with Kagome, Sango and Koharu on her back) arrive at the battleground. Naraku then appears with Kagura and Kanna. Miroku is about to suck the trio into his Air Void, but realizes that is he does the souls of Kagome, Koharu and the villagers will be lost forever. Naraku explains that his new abilities have allowed to create Kagura, a wind user, and Kanna, nihility (someone without an aura or scent). Meanwhile, a weak Kagome has Kirara bring her to Inuyasha. Naraku tells Miroku that he's not the only one uses indirect approaches against Inuyasha. He shows his Shikon shard and tells him that Kikyo gave this to him so he could kill Inuyasha, for she hates him as well. Kagome arrives and shoots an arrow at Kanna. But instead of being reflected back as Kagome the arrow is absorbed, much to the surprise of Naraku and Kagura. Kanna explains that the arrow is made up of souls. Kanna also states that her mirror is full, and will break if the souls aren't released. Kanna releases the souls and Miroku releases his Air Void. Kagura sends boulders into it and the trio escapes. That morning, the villagers wake up confused and Koharu holds on to a scroll Miroku gave her. Elsewhere, the gang has found an abandoned hut to stay in. Miroku sits on a tree in deep thought and Sango remains unconscious. After tending to Inuyasha's wounds Kagome, goes out to look for some more. Inside the hut, Inuyasha thinks about ‘his Kikyo'.

Written by kougasgirl

Inuyasha lays in a hut, hurt by being blasted by his own Backflash Wave with Kanna's mirror. He suddenly wakes up and Shippo is beside him. Shippo says oh Inuyasha your awake. Are you feeling well? Guess that's not to be expected by being hit with your own weapon. Sango got hit hard with her own weapon too. She still hasn't woke yet but she should be. Kagome and Miroku went to get some new bandages for you guys. I'll go get some new water. Shippo went outside with a bucket and started to fill it with water from the little water fall. Inuyasha closed his eyes and rested. Kikyo's Soul Collecters came through the wall and hovered over Inuyasha. He woke up and said Soul Collecters........Kikyo. He got his sword and leaned on it as he limped out the door. Shippo was being attacked by the soul collecters and yelled Inuyasha's name but Inuyasha just ignored him. Inuyasha tripped himself and he went tumbling down the hill. he layed motionless on his stomach. The soul collecters swirled in a circle and Kikyo appeared. She said Inuyasha...Inuyasha! Inu twitched his ears (so cute!) and sat up. Kikyo said she was happy he was still alive. Inuyasha made a face and said where you the one who gave Naraku the jewel shards? Kikyo said yes and they had a conversation. Suddenly, you see Kaguya hiding behind a tree. It goes back to Naraku telling her to find out what Kikyo is up to. Kikyo shoots one of her arrows towards her and misses her face and hits a tree. Kaguya flies away on a feather. Kikyo dissappears and Inuyasha made his way back up the hill. Kagome, Miroku and Shippo are running towards him. Kagome pulls on his hair and then says sorry. She tryed talking to him but he wouldn't look her in the eyes. She new he saw Kikyo and walked away angry. Miroku hit him on the head with his scepter. Sango woke up and is in pain. Miroku Tends to inu. Sango says to Kagome Why don't you tend to Inuyasha for a while Kagome? I'm fine. Kagome made a face and said I'd rather not. He can take care of himself. Miroku sighed and said to Inuyasha Why don't you just apoligize so you won't have to argue so much. Inuyasha just ignored Mirokus comment. Inu sences a dead man or slaghtered village. They get there and see it is a demon Goshinki from one of Narakus reincarnations. It is a mind reading demon so it is hard for Inuyasha to try and destroy it. Goshinki talks to everyone saying that if they try to attack him, they will die before they get the chance. Inuyasha starts attacking him and makes the wind scar. But Goshinki breaks it and Inuyasha aims for his head. Suddenly the sword goes in Goshinki's mouth and Goshinki breaks it in two. Inuyasha was amazed and stood still. Goshinki sliced Inuyashas stomach. and he layed motionless. Kagome screamed his name and stood close to Goshinki. Miroku kept her back but Goshinki sliced him too. Goshinki turned around and was about to attack Kagome but Inuyasha sliced his hand off. Inuyasha looked at him and made a aggressive face. His eyes where red, he had one purple stripe under each eye and his claws where bigger than before. Kagome was frightened. Inuyasha said What's the matter Goshinki? I thoght you wanted to destroy me? Inuyasha and Goshinki went at each other and Inuyasha destroyed Goshinki, put him into peices. Inuyasha landed on the ground and looked at his hand. It was covered in Goshinki's blood. Inuyasha said Thank you Goshinki. I enjoyed that. Then, Inuyasha thought to himself I have never felt such power before. I can feel my blood rushing through my vains. Why do I feel this way? I feel like I need to kill more. Kagome started to walk closer to Inuyasha slowly. She said Inuyasha's name and Inuyasha said Stay back! I don't know what i am going to do next. Kagome kept getting closer to him and Miroku, Sango, and Shippo yelled to her to stay back and not go near him but she didn't listen. Kagome got about a foot apart from Inuyasha and he flinched back a little. Kagome looked at the ground and said Inuyasha.....SIT. Inuyasha fell to the ground and then looked up at her in anger and said Would you stop saying that!? Inuyasha sat on his bottom and Kagome fell to her knees. She leaned forward and hugged him. She said Oh Inuyasha I was so scared. Inuyasha's eyes were wide and Kagome suddenly blushed and sat up. Kagome said What happened to you Inuyasha? Inuyasha looked at her and said What do you mean? Inuyasha looked at the remains of the demon Goshinki.

Under the light of the moon, Sesshomaru (along with Jaken and Rin) retrieves the head of Goshinki (see episode 43). Sesshomaru was able to detect the change in Inuyasha's blood from half-demon to demon (see episode 43). The next day while Inuyasha and the others are enjoying some fish, Totousai's cow which Myoga is riding appears. Myoga also knows about the transformation that Inuyasha recently went through and he also came with Totosai's cow so Inuyasha can go and see Totosai (see episode 34) about getting his sword repaired. Inuyasha departs on the cow to get Tetsusaiga repaired. That night, Myoga tells Kagome and the others that Tetsusaiga breaking is the reason Inuyasha became fully demon. Since Tetsusaiga seals his demon blood, and with Tetsusaiga broken the seal on his blood was removed. Totosai takes one of Inuyasha's fangs to repair Tetsusaiga and tells Inuyasha that he'll have it repaired in 3 days. Elsewhere, Sesshomaru approaches the hut of Kaijinbou. Kaijinbou is an old student of Totosai, who was expelled for making evil swords. Sesshomaru asks Kaijinbou to make him a sword from the fangs of the ogre that was able to break the Tetsusaiga. Three days later, Jaken goes to pick up Sesshomaru's new sword, Toukijin, but Kaijinbou, who has been possessed by the soul of Goshinki, cuts Jaken in half. Later on, Sesshomaru arrives and revives Jaken with Tenseiga (see episode 34) and they go off to find Kaijinbou. Elsewhere, a human Inuyasha (it's the night of the new moon) waits for Totosai to deliver the repaired Tetsusaiga. Kaijinbou appears with his possessed sword and challenges Inuyasha. Due to him being in human form, Inuyasha can't fight, so Sango and Miroku attack Kaijinbou. Sango throws Hiraikotsu at him but he cuts it in half with Toukijin. Miroku charges at Kaijinbou and with the help of one of his spell scrolls and his staff he manages to crush Kaijinbou's skull. But thanks to Toukijin, that doesn't slow him down. As if on cue, Totosai appears with the repaired Tetsusaiga. Despite being in his human form, Inuyasha unsheathes Tetsusaiga and attacks Kaijinbou. Despite it not being transformed, Inuyasha can tell that it's gotten stronger. The sun rises and Inuyasha returns to his half-demon form and Tetsusaiga transforms. However, he soon discovers that Tetsusaiga has gotten much heavier. Totosai that it's because he used one of Inuyasha's fangs to re-combine the sword. Kaijinbou moves in for the kill, while Inuyasha is stuck with a sword that he can barely lift.

Despite Tetsusaiga's newfound weight (see episode 44), Inuyasha manages to kill Kajinbou. However, Toukijin remains unscathed and with it's evil aura intact. The evil aura prevents anyone from being able to lift it from the ground. The group wonders who could have wanted a sword such as Toukijin made in the first place. Inuyasha wants to stick around and find out, while the others don't. Elsewhere, Sesshomaru and Jaken return to Rin after their trip from Kaijinbou's (see episode 44). Sesshomaru detects the presence of Kagura. Jaken notes that she has the same smell as the man who gave Sesshomaru an arm (see episode 18). Kagura explains that she is a detachment of Naraku's and that Toukijin is nearby. The next day, Myouga tells the others that they shouldn't Inuyasha know about Tetsusaiga and its seal on his blood (see episodes 43 and 44). As he says that, Totosai explains to Inuyasha why his Tetsusaiga is so heavy. It's because before Inuyasha was being protected solely by his father (since it was just his fang) and now he's protecting himself (since it now has one of his fangs in it) and when Tetsusaiga becomes light again Inuyasha will have truly become strong. Suddenly, Sesshomaru appears and picks up Toukijin from the ground. Much to Totosai's shock, Sesshomaru defeats the evil aura on the sword. Sesshomaru attacks Inuyasha, so he can get a better understanding of how/why Inuyasha's scent changed. Inuyasha unsheathes Tetsusaiga and attacks Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru manages to knock Tetsusaiga away from Inuyasha. Inuyasha decides no to pick it up again and to attack Sesshomaru without it. Sesshomaru easily knocks Inuyasha back with energy from Toukijin. As Sesshomaru charges towards Inuyasha, he sees that Inuyasha has transformed into a full-blooded demon again! Totosai sprays fire between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru so the other can rescue Inuyasha.. With the help of some ‘sit', Kagome and the others run off with Inuyasha. Later, Sesshomaru thinks about Inuyasha's transformation and realizes that Inuyasha must have been pretty powerful for him to scare Sesshomaru. Meanwhile, Kagura notes Sesshomaru's strength and hopes that she can use his strength to kill Naraku so she can be free.

One day, as Inuyasha and the others are walking Kouga suddenly appears. He tells Kagome that he smelled her so he decided to stop by. Later on, Kouga asks for the location of Naraku's castle. Inuyasha tells them that they don't know. Kouga along with Ginta, Hakkaku and some wolves, take off. That night, Kouga smells Kagura's scent. It turns out to be Naraku along with his new detachment, Juromaru who Naraku has bound in chains. Juromaru and Kouga fight for awhile, and Juromaru is clearly stronger than Kouga. Inuyasha and the others arrive and Kouga departs. Naraku appears and releases Juromaru from the chains and sets him loose on the others, Juromaru slices Naraku in half but it turns out that it's just a puppet. Juromaru attacks Inuyasha. Inuyasha uses his Sankontessou (Iron Reaper Soul Stealer) and is unsuccessful in harming Juromaru. Inuyasha whips out Tetsusaiga, which is still heavy (see episode 45), and slices at Juromaru. When something white comes flying from Juromaru, Kagome assumes that it's Juromaru's arm. Suddenly, the same white object that came from Juromaru flies out of the ground and through Inuyasha. The object lands next to Juromaru and reveals that it's Kageromaru (who was released from the insides of Juromaru when Naraku freed Juromaru from his chains). Elsewhere, Kouga returns to Ginta and Hakkaku claiming that Inuyasha has to be dead by now. Kouga soon leaves to fight along Inuyasha when, thanks to Ginta and Hakkaku, he realizes that when Inuyasha is in danger Kagome is in danger as well. Back with the battle, Inuyasha continues to battle Juromaru, while Kageromaru proves that he's more than a match for Hiraikotsu or the Air Void (Wind Tunnel). Just as Kageromaru is about to attack Kagome, Kouga appears and kicks him away. At first Kageromaru proves to be faster than Kouga, but soon Kouga speeds up and knocks Kageromaru down. Kageromaru goes for Kagome again, but this time Juromaru manages to keep Kouga back. Seeing that Kagome is in danger, Inuyasha charges for Kageromaru and easily cuts off one of his sickle hands. Miroku notices that since his only though was to protect Kagome, Tetsusaiga was lighter during that moment. Kageromaru then hides underground. Sango tips the end of Miroku's staff with poison and throws into the ground, the poison spreads quickly through the ground and Kageromaru comes flying out. Kouga charges at Juromaru, ready for the kill. Inuyasha notices that Kageromaru has disappeared again. He figures out that he has returned inside of Juromaru. So Inuyasha tells Kouga to get out of the way, and he charges at Juromaru. Just as Kouga is about to strike Juromaru, Kageromaru appears again and prepares to slice Kouga. Inuyasha then swings at Kouga, Kageromaru and Juromaru with Tetsusaiga. Kouga manages to get out of the way in time but Kageromaru and Juromaru both are killed by the blow. After the battle, Inuyasha is prepared to fight Kouga. Kagome tells him not to because he's injured. Inuyasha doesn't care and wants to fight, Kagome tells him to ‘sit' and asks Kouga to leave. Inuyasha gets back up and tells Kagome that he's sick of seeing her flirt with Kouga. Kagome, is angered by this comment and decides that she is going home, again.

As Kagome returns home, she tells a concerned Shippo that she's going to get medical supplies and not to tell Inuyasha because she wants to make him worry. Elsewhere, Kikyo is once again pulled away from tending wounded soldiers due to sensing Naraku's presence (see episode 43). Kikyo tells Naraku that she knows why he hasn't killed her yet, because Onigumo's heart (see episodes 20 and 21), that still remains in him (see episode 33), won't let him. Kagome returns home and takes a bath. Back in the past, Miroku fills Kaede in on Naraku and his latest detachments (see episode 46). When the subject of Kouga's one-sided love is brought up Inuyasha walks away because Sango made him sound like the bad guy. Elsewhere, an angry Naraku sends a huge Soul-Stealer after Kikyo. In battle with the creature, Kikyo loses her souls and runs away. Later that night, Inuyasha runs into Kikyo, who is still on the run from the demon. With help from Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha easily defeats the demon. As Kikyo's souls return, Kikyo explains to Inuyasha that Naraku can't kill her because Onigumo's heart still loves her. Inuyasha is angered that Naraku loves her and vows to protect her from him. Kagome returns from the past and sees the light from Kikyo's souls and goes to investigate.. Inuyasha tells Kikyo that he'll kill Naraku for her. Kagome arrives on the scene, just as Inuyasha hugs Kikyo. As Kikyo holds a knife to his throat, Kikyo tells Inuyasha that she will kill Naraku herself. AS Kikyo departs, Inuyasha is alerted to Kagome's presence. Kagome is taken a back by the events that just occurred and Inuyasha just stands there speechless.

Before Inuyasha can even speak, Kagome runs away. The next day, Kagome leaves for home once again. Later that day, Miroku and Sango see Inuyasha who shamelessly tells them that he was with Kikyo (see episode 47). Though separated, Kagome and Inuyasha both come to the same conclusion, they can't see each other anymore. In front of her friends, Kagome pretends to be over Inuyasha but they can clearly see that she isn't. After school, Kagome as Kagome prepares to go down the well and return their two Shikon shards, Kagome wishes that Kikyo would just die. Disgusted by what she just said, Kagome runs off thinking that Inuyasha wouldn't want to see her as ugly as she is right now. Kagome stands under the shade of the Sacred Oak, and realizes that she is in love with Inuyasha. Kagome runs to her mother, who tells her how the Sacred Oak's purifying aura helped her make the decision to marry Kagome's father. In the past, Miroku, Sango and Shippo help Inuyasha realize his true feelings for Kagome. As he runs to the well, he sees that Kagome is already there. Kagome tells Inuyasha that she came to the conclusion that, despite being her reincarnation, she and Kikyo have something in common: They both want to see Inuyasha, again. Kagome then asks Inuyasha if she can stay with him, he asks if she wants to, which she does. Kagome and Inuyasha walk off, hand in hand.

As Inuyasha and the others search the ruins of one of Naraku's old castles (see episode 30), Sango finds the graves of her fellow exterminators (see episode 24). Miroku moves them away from Naraku's castle and gives them a burial in non-defiled soil. As Sango prays at the grave, she vows that someday she and Kohaku will guard their tombs. Meanwhile, an amnesiac Kohaku skillfully chops up wood for an elderly couple. The elderly found him in the woods shortly after Lord Hitomi Kagewaki's (see episode 25) castle mysteriously disappeared. That night, Kohaku leaves the elderly couple after he is attack by Naraku's bees. He runs into the woods and is attacked by a huge demon. But he saved by Sango (they came running when Kagome sensed a jewel shard). Sango is overjoyed to be reunited with her. Later that night, Sango and Kohaku bond and Kohaku learns a little about himself. Kohaku falls asleep and Sango slips away. Inuyasha confronts Sango and tells that this has to be one of Naraku's traps. Overhearing this, Kohaku runs away to save Sango the trouble he'll undoubtedly cause. Suddenly, Inuyasha and the others are attacked by Kagura and a swarm of demons. Sango and Kagome soon discover that Kohaku is missing and chase after him, while Inuyasha deal with Kagura, who Naraku sent to retrieve Kohaku's shard. As Kohaku is running, he finds himself surrounded by Naraku's bees. Sango saves him in the nick of time and has Kagome take him to safety, Kagome and Kohaku soon find a cave to hide it. In the cave, Kohaku remembers hearing Naraku ordering him to kill Kagome! He enters a trance and prepares to attack Kagome.

Sango and Kirara fight of demons in the woods, while Inuyasha and Miroku face off against Kagura (see episode 49). Meanwhile, an injured Kagome runs away from Kohaku (see episode 49). Before Kohaku can strike Kagome again (he already got her once in the arm), Sango arrives. Kohaku runs off and Sango runs off, but not before apologizing to Kagome. Inuyasha and Miroku fight of the demons and try to make it seem like Kohaku is still in their hut. Thanks to Shippo, Kagura learns of Inuyasha's situation with Tetsusaiga (see episodes 44 and 45). One of the demons manages to slip by Miroku and destroy the house, revealing that Kohaku isn't inside. Miroku and Inuyasha soon discover that Naraku sent Kagura and the demons to distract Inuyasha while Kohaku, who is still under his control, kills Kagome. Inuyasha runs off to help Kagome and Miroku sucks the demons into his Air Void, despite the fact that Naraku's bees are among the horde. Kagura decides to take off. Inuyasha finds Kagome, who tells him to stop Sango from killing Kohaku because despite having the opportunity to kill her he didn't so Kohaku has some of his heart left! Sango catches up to Kohaku and the two fight. Sango eventually pins Kohaku down and prepares to move in for the kill. Sango wants to kill Kohaku so he can be free from Naraku's control, but she tells him that he won't die alone because she will be joining him soon. Before the tearful Sango can finish off Kohaku, Inuyasha arrives and knocks her sword away. Kohaku jumps back and Kagura appears to take him away. Kagura explains that Kohaku doesn't want to remember his past since it's too painful (see episode 24), and his blank mind makes him the perfect puppet. After the two take off on Kagura's feather, Inuyasha tells Sango that because Kohaku still has a heart he will bring him back from Naraku alive. Elsewhere, Naraku asks Kohaku why he didn't kill Kagome like ordered. Naraku wonders if Kohaku still wants to remember, so Naraku then returns Kohaku's memory. Kohaku immediately goes into shock, so Naraku takes them away. However, there's one thing that Kohaku cannot forget, Sango's crying face.

Sesshomaru, Jaken and Rin walk through the woods in search of Bokuseno, the tree from which Tetsusaiga and Tenseiga's scabbards were made from. They soon find him. Elsewhere, Sango nurses a sick Miroku (see episode 50) but after he gropes her she realizes that his strength has returned to him. From Bokuseno, Sesshomaru learns that when Inuyasha transforms he devolves to a killing machine because the demon blood in Inuyasha is too strong for Inuyasha's half demon body. Additionally, constant transformations will cause him to loose his soul. As Inuyasha and the others take off, they come across a boy calling for help. Inuyasha automatically assumes that it's a demon attack and comes running. He soon discovers that boy's grandfather just fell. Inuyasha and the others help him to their village and go on their way. Later, Inuyasha and the others see smoke coming from the village and the little boy once again comes looking for help, this time with an arrow in his shoulder. Inuyasha and Miroku go to the village and investigate. The village is under attack by thieves, who are killing and keeping the women around for pleasure purposes. Inuyasha and Miroku arrive and Inuyasha senses a demon and calls the leader out. The leader, Gatenmaru, appears and is intrigued by Inuyasha's sword. He wants it, but Inuyasha won't let him have it. So he and Inuyasha fight. In the battle, Inuyasha breaks Gatenmaru's axe. Gatenmaru manages to cut Inuyasha a couple times. Gatenmaru then reveals his demon powers and creates a cocoon of melting poison. In the cocoon, Miroku has constructed a barrier to keep the poison at bay, Inuyasha manages to get some of the poison in his wound. Outside the cocoon, one of Gatenmaru's thieves hands him Tetsusaiga. Gatenmaru is rejected by Tetsusaiga's barrier and soon deduces the Inuyasha is a half-demon. No longer wanting the sword, Gatenmaru gives it to one of his henchmen and decides to watch Inuyasha and Miroku's barrier give out. While Gatenmaru waits, he decides to have some fun with the girls. Seeing this through the cocoon, Inuyasha begins to transform!

Gatenmaru and his thieves start to use the women as their slaves (see episode 51). Elsewhere, Jaken can't find Sesshomaru, he soon deduces that Sesshomaru went to see if what Bokuseno (see episode 51) was true. Gatenmaru the begins the drain the life from a girl using his tongue, which just angers Inuyasha more. The man Inuyasha helped, tries to steal Tetsusaiga back from one of thieves (see episode 51) but ends up getting beaten. Kagome, Sango and the man's grandson arrive. Sango fends off the thieves, Gatenmaru sets his sights on Kagome. Miroku's barrier in the cocoon (see episode 51) is beginning to give and Inuyasha then transforms into his demonic state. Demon Inuyasha breaks free from the cocoon. Gatenmaru transforms into his demon state but is easily ripped apart by Inuyasha. Inuyasha then mercilessly kills all of the thieves. Sesshomaru then arrives to challenge Inuyasha. Sesshomaru manages to keep Inuyasha at bay with Toukijin (see episodes 44 and 45). He eventually knocks Inuyasha out, Kagome quickly rushes to Inuyasha's side and demands that Sesshomaru stop his attack. Sesshomaru tells Kagome to give Tetsusaiga back to Inuyasha so he'll return to himself and if she doesn't when Inuyasha comes too he'll start killing again. Miroku asks why Sesshomaru's helping since he claims to hate Inuyasha so much. Sesshomaru explains that he will kill Inuyasha someday but not when he's not himself. Inuyasha comes to and is back to his hanyou self. Sesshomaru returns to Jaken, Rin and Ah-Un (Sesshomaru's dragon). Later on at dusk, Miroku and Sango discuss the events of the day. Kagome sees Inuyasha furiously wash the blood hands of his hands. After he's done he sits down by Kagome. He pretends to not care about what he did but Kagome knows that he's very distraught about it.

Inuyasha travels to Totosai's so he can make Tetsusaiga lighter (see episodes 44 and 45). Kagome told Inuyasha about the Tetsusaiga's seal on his blood. Inuyasha arrives at Totosai's and asks him how he can make Tetsusaiga lighter so he doesn't have to transform anymore (see episodes 43, 45, 51 and 52). Totosai tells him that if he defeats Ryuukoytsusei, a demon his father was only able to seal, Tetsusaiga will become lighter because he will have surpassed his father and then Tetsusaiga will no longer be weighed down by the weakness in his fang. Myouga leads Inuyasha to the location of Ryuukoytsusei. Meanwhile, Naraku watches Inuyasha through Kanna's mirror and decides that since all of his detachments have failed (see episodes 39, 40, 42, 42, 43 and 46) to kill Inuyasha, it might be worth it to try Ryuukoytsusei. Elsewhere, Kagome and the others search for Inuyasha. They find across Totosai and he tells them that he's in the Valley of Ryuukoytsusei. Inuyasha arrives at Ryuukoytsusei. Myoga tells him that all he has to do is cut out his heart. His heart is under Inuyasha's father seal is (one of his fangs). One of Naraku's puppets arrive and breaks the seal, freeing Ryuukoytsusei! After learning that Inuyasha is the son of the demon who sealed him from Naraku, Ryuukoytsusei kill the puppet and attacks Inuyasha. Kagome and the others sense the massive demonic aura coming from Ryuukoytsusei and run to Inuyasha's aid. In the battle with Ryuukoytsusei, Inuyasha tries to slice Ryuukoytsusei where the seal was but to no avail, Ryuukoytsusei has skin as hard as steel! From Myoga, Inuyasha learns that in the battle with Ryuukoytsusei, his father received a mortal wound and thus was only able to seal the beast. Inuyasha insists on fighting and Myouga runs away. Inuyasha and Ryuukoytsusei continue to fight. On their way to the battle, Miroku and the others find Myoga. Totosai explains that the only way Inuyasha could possible defeat Ryuukoytsusei is with the Bakuryuuha, Tetsusaiga's ultimate attack. Eventually, Tetsusaiga is knocked away from Inuyasha. Kagome and the others arrive on the battlefield, but they noticed that Inuyasha is separated from Tetsusaiga and is starting to transform!

As Inuyasha transforms, Ryukotsusei (see episode 53) notices his demon energy increase. The others watch on in awe as transformed Inuyasha gets several good blows against Ryukotsusei. Ryukotsusei manages to knock him down. Inuyasha starts to make his way towards to Tetsusaiga. He uses sheath to deflect an oncoming attack from Ryuukotsusei. He gets a hold of Tetsusaiga, which is still incredibly heavy. As Inuyasha reverts to normal, he feels Tetsusaiga getting lighter. He then springs into action and manages to jab Tetsusaiga into Ryukotsusei's chest. Despite the chest wound, Ryukotsusei continues to attack. Inuyasha unleashes the Wind's Scar on Ryuukoytsusei, which he can now perform at will, which doesn't even effect Ryuukoytsusei. Despite Totosai's advice, Inuyasha continues his attack on Ryuukoytsusei, realizing that doing so will make him surpass his father. Ryukotsusei unleashes a might attack on Inuyasha, who charges at it head on. Inuyasha realizes that he'll have to cut right through it. As he does, the energy from the Wind's Scar and Ryukotsusei's attack combine. The fused energy is sent back at Ryuukoytsusei and it rips him to pieces. After witnessing this, Totosai realizes that Inuyasha just performed the Backlash Wave (Bakuryuuha). After the remaining pieces of Ryuukoytsusei dissolve, the others arrive and congratulate Inuyasha. Totosai accepts that Inuyasha may be better than he thought. Totosai then explains that the Backlash Wave combines the energy from the Wind Scar with the energy from a powerful demon and sends back at the foe. A proud Inuyasha shows off by demonstrating for the others that he can perform the Wind Scar whenever he wants by slashing at near by rocks. However, this causes smaller rocks to fly around everywhere, in order to stop the barrage of rocks, Kagome orders Inuyasha to sit.

Inuyasha and the others pass through a village in search of demons. After the group splits up to find demons, Inuyasha tells Kagome that he doesn't sense any demons so they can relax. In order to give Kagome and Inuyasha the alone he feels they need, Shippo goes off by himself. He notices a girl being beat up by some boys because she stole some food from them. She tells them that they'll be sorry when her brother returns. One of the boys tells that everyone knows that he died, his father even saw it. But the girl won't believe it. Shippo comes to her rescue and transforms into his Pink Ball and scares the boys away. The girl, Satsuki, introduces herself and shares her food with Shippo. She reveals to Shippo that her brother gave her a Shikon shard before he left, so she can use it to wish him back to life. That night, as Miroku chases a demon out of the wealthiest mansion in town, Shippo arrives and informs the group of Satsuki's shard. He introduces the group to Satsuki and Kagome takes a look at her shard. She then returns it Satsuki and sends her on her way. Shippo wonders why she didn't take it. Kagome reveals that it's just a Flower Stone (quartz). As Satsuki departs the mansion owner offers her residence in his home. Later the owner explains the situation about Satsuki and her departed brother. Meanwhile, the demon Miroku exorcised sets his sights on Satsuki! That night while everyone is sleeping, Shippo, blinded by his desire to help Satsuki, steals the Shikon shards. However, Inuyasha catches him and tells him that the shards are too dangerous for a human to use. Miroku sees that Shippo likes Satsuki and Inuyasha mocks him for it. Shippo says that he doesn't think has room to talk, what with him two-timing with Kikyo and Kagome. Inuyasha punches Shippo's head and orders him to go to sleep.

The next day, Satsuki is overjoyed when she sees her injured brother return to her! A saddened Shippo makes his way to Satsuki's house to say goodbye. Satsuki rushes to greet him and tells him the good news. Back at the manor, Kagome and the others decide to go to Satsuki's house to get Shippo. When Shippo arrives at Satuski's house he sees that her brother is just a lizard demon in disguise. The demon soon reveals himself and threatens to kill Satsuki if the Shikon shards are not brought to him. Shippo, fends of the demon with his fox magic and escapes with Satsuki. The demon breaks free of the trap and chases after Shippo. Shippo sends Satsuki away and fights the demon one on one. Inuyasha soon appears and tries to use the Backlash Wave (see episode 54) on the lizard but since the demon is too weak, he can't. The demon reverts to his original form with one punch from Inuyasha. Satsuki and the other's arrive and Inuyasha pretends that Shippo had beaten up the demon before he got there. Later that day, Satsuki moves in with the owner of the manor and Inuyasha and the others leave the village.

Miroku stops to help a woman in need, much to the others' dismay, and later discovers that she stole is money. Later, the group arrives at a village were they learn from the women that all the men have be taken by a demon. The group goes to find the men, but as soon as Miroku learns that the demon is supposedly very beautiful he tells the others that he'll go alone. Sango decides to go with Miroku, leaving Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo. After Sango and Miroku depart, Kagome tells Inuyasha that suspects Sango has feelings for Miroku. Shippo agrees, but Inuyasha doesn't see it at all. As Sango and Miroku are walking, Sango tells Miroku about the story that village women told her about the demon. Years ago, a group of warriors with a beautiful princess went into the woods to escape the war. However, the warriors all died leaving the princess alone. It is suspected that the lonely princess now holds some kind of grudge against men. Miroku doesn't quite get why she has a grudge, as does Sango. The three (Kirara is w/ them as well) see a barrier in front of them and they conclude that the princess is on the other side. Miroku gives Sango a rosary to where around her hand and they cross the barrier. After crossing over, Sango and Kirara get separated from Miroku. Miroku arrives at the princess' castle, where she takes him in for tea. Sango finds a group of old men. The old men explain that they were lost in the woods and ran into the princess, who took them to her castle and showed them "a good time." They then explain that looking in her eyes put them in a sort of trance and then the next thing they knew they were old. Sango leaves Kirara to guard the men and runs off to save Miroku. She arrives at the castle just as Miroku is about to kiss the princess. Sango calls out to Miroku. The princess throws Miroku down and jumps back. The princess transforms into a giant wild dog-type demon. The demon can't see Sango at all due to the rosary Miroku gave her.

As Sango is about to attack Miroku, who wasn't really under the princess' spell, tells her not too. If she makes a sound then the demon will know where she is. Miroku launches a few of his scrolls at the demon and they cause the real princess to be expelled from the demon. The embittered demon attacks Miroku. Miroku manages to hold the demon back w/ his staff. Sango chucks Hiraikotsu at the demon. After being hit, the demon looks for Sango and when she gets Sango's approximate location she breaks the rosary, making Sango visible. The demon lunches her hand at Sango, Sango blocks with Hiraikotsu but the demon's claws start to break through the boomerang. Miroku distracts the demon and Sango throws Hiraikotsu once more. This time she manages to cut the demon in half. Thus destroying her illusionary castle and returning the men's youth. Miroku runs over to comfort the shaken princess. Sango is noticeably upset by this. After her comforts her, she becomes a ball of light and soars toward the heavens. Miroku explains to Sango that the demon took over her lonely soul and used it to gather power from the youth of men. Later, the village women thank Miroku for returning their men. Kagome notices that Sango has been kinda depressed since she returned. As Sango sits an laments about her foolishness in chasing after Miroku, Miroku arrives to talk. With Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo looking on, he thanks her for her help and tells her that of all the women in the world, he's glad that she's the one that worries about him. As Sango turns away and blushes, Miroku takes advantage of the moment and caresses her butt. She gives one hard slap across the face and gets up. As group is walking, Sango notices that Hiraikotsu is in definite need of repair.

As Kagome tries to get Inuyasha to let her take some time off to study and take a big test, Sango manages to get permission to return home and repair her damaged Hiraikotsu (see episode 56). Elsewhere a man runs to a rather obese man who sucks him into his jar for trying to escape his training as a sage, because it got "to weird". Inuyasha and the others come across a fruit from a demonic tree, the Ninmeka, in the river and realize that the demon from which it sprang must be rather big. They decide to investigate since the demon tree uses human flesh as fertilizer. They reach a cliff and realize that the tree must be atop the cliff. Hurriedly, Inuyasha climbs the cliff. Miroku realizes that it's because tonight is the new moon and it's almost sunset. Before Inuyasha reaches the top, the obese man, Tokajin, pouring some odd liquid into the tree so a fruit of eternal life will grow. Inuyasha arrives and attacks Toukajin with Tetsusaiga but it bounces right off his gut. Tokajin then sucks Inuyasha into his jar, leaving Tetsusaiga behind. Meanwhile, Kagome and Miroku are riding Pink-Shippo has he takes them to the top of the cliff, but their combined weight is too much for him so her gives out and the three manage to fall right into the main entrance of Tokajin's house. They find a miniature village with real people inside, which they are soon sucked into, without the Shikon shards. In the village, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo come across a group of men who are devoted to the cause of becoming sages. While they are training, Kagome and the others met a disgruntled warrior who explains the truth behind the sage training. It turns out Tokajin is forcing them to develop some spirit power so he can feed them to the Ninmeka. In the jar, Inuyasha tries to claw his way out but his attempts are squashed when he transforms into his human state because of the onset of night (see episode 13). Unable to get Tetsusaiga to transform, the Peach Man puts it with a bunch of other weapons in the room with the mini-village, where he stumbles across Kagome's fallen Shikon shards. He puts the shards in his naval along with the other one that he stole from the Ninmeka. In Tokajin's jar, Tetsusaiga's scabbard begins to pulse and it summons Tetsusaiga. Tetsusaiga manages to pierce through the jar giving Inuyasha an escape route. Inuyasha escapes, returns to his normal size and punches the Tokajin, which succeeds only in angering him. Using the power of the shards, Tokajin transforms into a Golem-type beast and belly slams Inuyasha. Meanwhile Kagome, Miroku and Shippo begin to lose hose as they discover there is no escape from the mini village.

To be continued…

Human-Inuyasha wakes to find he is bound in thorny vines that are draining his blood to feed to the Ninmenka (see episode 57). Inuyasha notices Kagome's Jewel Jar nearby and asks Tokajin what he did with Kagome. Tokajin is excited to hear that there is a girl in the house because the blood of a young girl is the Ninmenka's favorite. Tokajin deduces that Kagome is in the village-box (see episode 57). In the village, with help from a boulder and the Air Void, the three manage to make a whole in the side of the box. However, before they can use it, Tokajin reaches in and extracts Kagome. Later, the Peach Man appears in front of Inuyasha with just Kagome's school uniform and taunts him by claiming he ate Kagome. A still tiny Miroku and Shippo appear from Kagome's uniform, and with some help from the Air Void, Inuyasha breaks free from the vines and Tokajin is knocked out. Tiny-Miroku shows Inuyasha where Kagome is, bathing in an odd bath with Ninmenka fruits. Inuyasha comes in and gives Kagome his fire rat kimono as clothing. The four decide that it's time to leave and on there way out, they notice a the head of an old sage sprouting from some flowers. The sage explains that Tokajin accidentally implanted the Shikon shard in the bark of the Ninmenka, and the tree then convinced Tokajin eat its fruits with promises of power. The Ninmenka fruits contaminate the heart of the one by which they've been ingested. The sage explains that he in this form because Tokajin knows that without him then he can't make the immortality elixir. Tokajin, once again in Golem Mode (see episode 57), appears to take-out Inuyasha. Tokajin attacks and easily knocks the human Inuyasha down. The sage tells Inuyasha to drink some Ninmenka fruit elixir to heal him, but Inuyasha refuses and charges Tokajin head on. Kagome pulls out a bow and draws an arrow at Tokajin. As the sage looks on he senses a mysterious energy radiating from Kagome. The energy emitted by Kagome is to much for the old bow and it breaks. Inuyasha manages to gouge Tokajin's left eye out with a near by stick. As atonement for training Tokajin, the sage transforms into a bow for Kagome to use. Kagome uses the sage bow and manages to pierce Tokajin and knock the Shikon shards from his stomach. However the shards land on the Ninmenka. Out of rage, Tokajin charges at Kagome, Inuyasha jumps up and manages to knock himself and Tokajin of the cliff. As they fall, the Shikon powered Ninmenka spreads it root out of the cliff absorbs Tokajin, thus transforming it into a large root monster, Touboku Ninmenka. Touboku Ninmenka, begins to absorb Inuyasha, but the sun rises and Inuyasha transforms back into his half-demon self and with an assist by the Wind Scar, Inuyasha obliterates Touboku Ninmenka. With Tokajin dead, Miroku and Shippo return to their normal size. Having only seen Inuyasha and Tokajin plummet towards the ground, Kagome and the other assume Inuyasha died because he hit the ground while in human form. Inuyasha arrives to show them that he is indeed alive and tells them that they didn't need to worry about. Kagome gets upset and says that it's only natural to worry. Inuyasha notices that Kagome was crying, which she vehemently denies. The two go back and forth for awhile until Kagome "sits" him and shuts him up.
